Random Writing…”Rain”

I never loved the rain as much as I did today. The pitter-patter of the tiny drops as they hit the window were like music to my ears. I stared out into the midday gloom and watched as nature unfolded its beauty before me.

The sky was darkened by a thick layer of heavy, gray cloud. The sound of distant thunder and lightening strikes rattled me down to the bone. The wind, which had awakened from nowhere, kicked up and rammed at anything that dare stand in its path.

The shrubs and small plants flopped in one direction or another as the trees swayed back and forth. The wind was relentless and merciless, but it was the rain whose music I danced to. The tiniest of sounds, yet the most rhythmic of them all.
